Post by: biffo on November 22, 2008, 06:34:07 AM

Hi All
I am using Autocad 2005 but when I run lazycam and import the dxf file I get a blank screen with the message no project loaded and no entities found any ideas as to what I am doing wrong

Biffo - You need to close the AutoCad DXF file before trying to import it.  LC does not give you any warning saying the file is being used by another program, but that is probably your problem.

Also, make sure you save as v12 .dxf

Hi,

i read your comments with interest as I have just experienced the same issues. However, I seem to have the added complication the when importing from LC Mach 3 only displays about a third of the elipse image I'm trying to cut. Any ideas?

Regards

John

Can't remember having that problem.  If you want to shoot me a copy of your dxf I will see what it does here.

Hi, I am using LamCam with TruboCad and I had the same problem. I was able to solve the problem by drawing in model space, setting a origin, and then saving the drawing as a ..dxf file.  Best Regards
