I'm building myself a new computer with 4gb of ram. The only way to use 4gb of ram I must install Vista 64. Is it possible to use Mach3 with Vista 64. I really don't want to have dual OS but I'd love to use Mach3 instead of getting another software.
-
I don't believe Mach will run in 64bit Vista, but what other alternative software does?
-
Are you sure that it won't work in WoW mode 32bit emulator?
-
nope ,only 32 bit. i think the latest release of vista 32 supports more than 3 gig. you will have to check it out.

I have Laptop Celeron 1200mhz with XP and 512mb of ram. I heard there is a problem between laptop port and Mach3 so what is the problem? Can I use Laptop safely?
-
With a laptop, the only way to know for sure is to install Mach3 and try it.

Is the status of mach and 16 bit going to change in the near or distant future

I've just built a Vista-64bit machine; I will attempt to use Mach3 in compatibility 32-bit compatibility mode. Any tips/solutions will be appreciated.

WORKING LIKE A DREAM FOR ME, WITH NO ISSUES. JUST MAKE SURE ITS AN HP WORK STATION.

8-22-2009: >:( After a few automatic updates; I am experiencing Mach3 crashes as well along with bizarre graphics. I feel like I am using pre-beta software.
Is Mach going to check into this problem or are they going to wait for Windows 7?

I am using Vista 64-bit and it works like a champ.
Just follow the Vista instructions provided by Artsoft in the download section

i spent an entire day beating myself up trying to get vista64 to play nice with me.. I crashed it probably 20 times with my various array of bizarre video hardware capture devices and it still refuses to update properly from windows update site.. (now im using a hack update installer.. on a legit box.. pffffffffffff) not to mention having to hack to get back into my own pc cuz i got locked out by a funky update glitch ... double pfffffffffffft...)
see this stuff, and be warned, happens randomly to vista 64... will work great and suddenly you reboot after an update and you poked.. kill automatic updates.. do it.. save yourself this pain..

anyway i digress...
Typically the things i figured would NEVER work all did.. rhino, matrix . and yes, mach.. worked great.
I have never tried it on vista32 but since it will work on this POS operating system I am pretty willing to bet it will work on that one too..
this exersize has been a fun way to waste a day of my life.. will be downgrading back to xp32 this weekend :)
