Title: mach 3 multipass wizard question?
Post by: Stingray67 on September 17, 2008, 03:10:11 PM
If I open a g-code in mach 3 and run it through the multipass wizard, setting the cut depth, and how deep to cut every pass; do I need to set a cutting depth for the same project in lazy cam? would the 2 cancel each other out or would I end up with a mell of a hess?

Are you running it through LazyCAM first?

Yes I am.

Wouldn't LazyCAM do your multiple passes, so you wouldn't need to use the wizard?

One would think so, I might be setting up lazycam wrong; though I have tried multiple times, and my job wont multipas cut. If I run it through the wizard however it works great.

I don't use either, but believe you'd set the total depth in lazyCAM, and the wizard just splits that into multiple passes.
