Title: SS And Mach3 Kernel Frequency
Post by: HimyKabibble on September 08, 2008, 08:47:38 PM
I'm assuming that with SS, the kernal frequency setting in Mach no longer matters?  Seems like I saw something somewhere indicating it should just be left at 25kHz, but I can no longer find that reference.

Regards,
Ray L.

Not sure if it is an issue now or not but while beta testing, the freq. needed to be set to 25 for the dro's to display speeds properly.

Yes still an issue so keep it to 25KHz. As Brett said its only a display issue and not a physical one.

Kernel Freq. still has to be 25 kHz, or things have changed since?

Not sure but it doesnt matter as it in no way affects the performance of the SS, just the Feedrate DRO will read wrong, so if you see that then change to 25KHz and it will read correctly.
