Title: Encoder Wiring
Post by: Overloaded on August 14, 2008, 11:29:43 PM
Hello,
Will it work to take a Differential encoder and connect it to a Single ended device like a Gecko by putting the A- and B- together with the 0v side of the 5v supply?
Just wondering...I have access to several REALLY reasonable. Otherwise, US Digital has what I need.

Hi RC,

Yes you can use differential outputs and feed then to a single ended input as you want to do. Just use the A+ and B+. Leave the A- and B- UNCONNECTED.

Have a look at the following if it is not clear;

Cheers,

Peter.
