Title: Calibrating an MPG
Post by: R Rogers on October 26, 2005, 08:17:31 PM
Art,

Calibrated an MPG with calibration under config and its not 1:1 with the DRO. It's very close on one full revolution. It's a Micronor 100 count per rev MPG. Is this just how they are? It's always withen like 3 or 4 tenths.

Thanks, Ron

Hi Ron:

Depedns on the MPG. IF calibarated to the correct # of pulses per rev, they are pretty accurate, but some have 1 pulse per detend, some can have 4 or more, if its a larger number, some pulses can get lost due to rouding on steps coming from it in the velocity calculations. I find mine pretty accurate, but its a 1 pulse per click device..
