Title: My CNC Mini Mill and CNC Router
Post by: trev36 on July 18, 2008, 03:54:30 AM
Hello all

Just wanted to share my excitement. I have just completed my CNC hobby router using my mini CNC mill and manual mini lathe.

Thanks

Great looking set up and you've done a thourough job with the log as well. Do you find the X axis sags  a bit ? If so do you need to do some cunning compensations not to ruin your Z axis accuracies ?

Indeed it will, thanks for the link as I'm hoping to build a nice cnc router at one point and yours is a very nice example.  :)

Thanks Hood , Budman68  and Perfo for the compliment.

Today I discovered I'm going to have to redesign the X axis as it has almost .070 sag to the center of the table. Very disappointed, but I'm going to redo it all the same. As it stands right now all it is good for is 2D cut outs.  Will keep an update at http://www.cnchobbyrouter.com on my progress.

Thanks again for all the support. Mach support forum really is the best.
