				Hi
I have Solidworks at work, can you use the solids in lcam.

You'd have to do a drawing of the model then save that as a dxf to import into LazyCam-

I take it you mean go backwards to a 2D drawing.
I think I am right in saying you can export a 3D DXF file.

I see, I think I misunderstood you. I don't believe LazyCam can handle 3D images, only  steps (Layers).

				Hi, Clive

LazyCam is for converting 2d dxf into 2.5d g-code format not true 3d, Pocketing, Offsetting, Hole drilling and such, It's Lazy.

Mach3 will load 3d G-code generated by a cad-cam package with the proper post, Have you checked if theres a post for Mach3.

It uses allot of Funic/standard/common type g-code.

 Hears a BobCad posted G-code 3d item.

 Thanks, Chip

				Thanks for the replies.
I think the 2.5D comment puts it in perspective.
Mine is a hobby scenario so I dont really need anything cleverer.
 Thanks again
