Hey All,
Can someone get me started with 'how to draw an airfoil' in AC Lt 98 that will work in LCam ?
I can find the NACA coordinates for the points but then I'm stuck. I'm relatively sure that I'm not to simply connect the dots......?
Thanks,
RC

I have never used LT but on my system I do a "create spline from points" command and it fits the best curve it can between the points. Then I do a convert spline to lines and arcs.

LT doesn't seem to have those functions.....I'll dig a little deeper later on.
Thanks Graham,

Graham,
Is the "arc-fit polyline" and "spline-fit polyline" = to what you are referring to ?
If I post a spline .dwg, would you convert it for me ?
Thanks,
RC

spline-fit polyline sound very near. I will try to convert it for you.
Graham.

Thanks Graham,
A net search revealed a dwg. file for every airfoil ever documented...No need to draw them.

Hi, RC
Would you post the link for the airfoils.
Is this the one ? http://isoar.ca/~andrewm/rc/airfoils/index.html
Thanks, Chip
Edit: Thanks, RC, Chip

Hello Chip,
The one you have there is good. I'll keep it too.
The one that I found is: http://www.davincitechnologies.com/AirfoilOptimizerStdAirfoils.htm
Thanks,
RC
And here are the tables of coordinates: http://www.pdas.com/avd.htm
