Title: Router issue
Post by: BazookaJoe on March 09, 2026, 10:37:18 PM
I recently inherited a 3040 and am getting it set up. With the main toggle ON and the router toggle OFF, the router turns on.  Additionally, the circuit board the router toggle is plugged into has an LED that turns ON when the router toggle in ON. Also, when the Emergency OFF is pushed, the router continues to run. The router switch has continuity when in the ON position and none when OFF. I have not yet connected Mach3. Is this a circuit board issue or due to not being connected to Mach3?  Any suggestions are appreciated.

You will need to have Mach3 running and correctly set-up (Ports and Pins, etc) for your router to run correctly. (Whilst it would perhaps be correct for the Emergency OFF (E-Stop) to shut the machine down by removing any power it is usually just a software polled operation which requires Mach3 to be running).
