Title: Help me please! - cannot import DXF, or anything.
Post by: agentforte on April 15, 2006, 05:20:53 PM
I downloaded Mach 3 and I am unable to import files into the Mach3Mill.  Under file there is only an option to open g code, but for some reason I do not have an option that says "import".  I even tried downloading different versions and still the option is not there.

I am running it from Windows XP, and I'm wondering what the problem is.  Do I have to download any additional software?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Frank there is a new program that comes with Mach to open the DXF's :) There should be a selection called LazyCAM... This will take in the DXF.

Thanks

Thanks..  I see how to do it now, although it gives me an error when I try to load the dxf...  this might be because the file my friend sent me.  Are there any known issues with importing dxf's that are drawn in other programs?  I believe my dxf file was made in AutoCAD.
