I was tweaking my machine settings in Fusion and I noticed there are now 2 post processors:
mach4mill
mach4mill 2
Can anyone tell me which one I should be using for a generic 3-axis mill, and what are the differences between the first and second processors?

There has been a recent update. IF you were to copy and paste to make a backup, the result would be automatically numbered a mach4mill 2. If you see a notification that an update is available, (which by the way I just did) then go ahead and hit orange triangle or green icon to get the current one. Then use Visual Studio app to inspect the header info. Pick the instance and push the "edit" ( pencil ). The most recent update is dated Sept 3 2024. Ver 44143, I have deleted the older.
Get back with your findings.

That pretty much confirms my suspicions. I selected v.44143 (dated 15 Sept 2024), however, in the Posts directory it only shows the latest version.
Not to worry, I'll just run with the latest.

So you wanted to keep the older version?
Please confirm the date of the revision is 2024-09-03. hats what I am seeing here.
Funny thing, I looked at the "Post Library" minutes before I got on the forum. Synchronicity yes?
I wanted to look at the code re elements concerning ATC and tool magazine.
Anyway about the spare copy, Given that we choose the post processor once if we are using one machine/processor, unless the latter changes we don't mess with it.
As to why Fusion created a new version of the post processor, I have a few guesses.
I found out quite by accident. Just like when I found out that Autodesk lists my having two instances of Fusion now that I started paying for a subscription.
There are many benefits to paying a yearly fee. Fast rapid travels and no limits to files underway.
