Hi, I've been using Mach3 for many years and just switched over to Mach4 Hobby (starting to regret it)
When I try to home the machine it gets to the Z switch and will not back off. I have to turn off the machine and back off the Z manually.
Anybody have any ideas what I am doing wrong?
In Mach3 there was a debounce delay, is there something like that in mach4?

Homing in Mach4 is controlled by the motion card, Mach4 just asks the card to home an axis and waits for a job done signal. I would check your motion card settings.

Will do, thank you

Please post your findings. I had this same issue and had to give Mach4 an offset after it homed to come off of the switch. That is the only axis that would do that but it worked just fine in Mach3. I am actually not sure how to get into the motion card settings.

Found it, a grounding issue where a wire rubbed through. Caused all kinds of mayhem.
