Title: Machine does not move the correct distance
Post by: lee@inkandthistle.com on July 12, 2024, 12:30:25 PM
Bought a CNCEST machine second hand only had the demo version installed... Started playing with it and figured out I need a license to run the programs I wanted to.
On to the problem.... I will load G-code from Mastercam. No errors the program runs to M30... however the finished geometry is about 10% of the size it should be. Going to the "support" for mach and the rep said go into settings tab and change steps per unit. there is no settings tab. I have a "function Cfg's" where i can do calibration of MPG's but it does not seem to make any difference.
anyone have some insight So i can start making accurate(ish) parts on this desktop 4 axis machining toy?

Mach 3 or 4? Do you have a copy of the manual?

Some pictures of the machine and the screen will help us diagnose your problem.

Never mind I got it sorted. Thank you for the questions and the replies. Hope to be posting some of the projects my wife wants me to make for her Wedding centric business soon.
