I'm running Mach3 / ESS and share two computers
with one KMM. Once a program is started will / can
Mach3 continue to run if I switch to the other computer.
Space is limited and don't want / need two mice / keyboards.
Just asking.
Thanks for any help!

Hi, as I know, by default, Mach3 is designed to require continuous communication with the motion controller for smooth operation. If you were to switch to another computer while a program is running, the connection between Mach3 and the ESS would be lost, causing the program to pause or stop. This interruption could potentially lead to issues with the machined part or the overall accuracy of the operation.

Thanks for your reply! Trying to save space.

What's a KMM? What are the two computers doing? Why don't you just try it - get a program going on the Mach3 computer, preferably cutting air, then unplug the mouse and KB and plug 'em into the other one.

KMM is Key board, mouse, and monitor. It allows you to use
two or more computers with just one KMM.
I just did try what you said and mach3 just stopped.
I did not try unhooking each item to see if all or some are
required. I'll have to give that a try.
I have two computers and one is hooked to internet and
the other one runs Mach3 / CNC. While cutting it would be
nice to work on other designs or ??.
I put a 24" monitor on the small bench so I could get a better
view from the machine and it REALLY helps with the design of
items.
Space is somewhat limited as my son allows me to keep using
a small space after I sold him the business. LOL
