Title: Does my cable from pendant to control need to be shielded wire?

I'm replacing the cable from my pendant.
It has a MPG and a E stop on it.
The old cable is breaking down and insulation is crumbling.
Also, a straight cable would be easier to use instead of the coiled.
Does the new cable new to be shielded?
