Afternoon all,
I've been looking for the answer to this but cant find it.
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction?
I have Mach3 on my PC
I use a USB Breakout Board - about 3inches square, red with an eagle motif on it.
It has 2 sets of green connectors.
I'm trying to follow the instructions at https://www.buildyourcnc.com/item/electronicsAndMotors-electronic-component-breakout-Mach3-USB-Board
I loaded RnRMotion.dll as well as the configfile as instructed at that page.
Importantly it has a green led on the board that flashes slowly and goes solid once Mach3 is running. when I jog the x-axis the led flickers, so I believe said board is talking to the application.
I've wired GND to both the PUL- and DIR- on the driver (DM542T), XP to PUL+ and XD to Dir+
It's a 4 wire Nema23 motor all wired correctly to the Driver, with 36v being supplied to the driver.
The motor doesnt move when I jog the axis.
I have a suspicion that I need to be adding some config in Mach3 to assign pins etc? but my knowledge has now run out.
Is there a tutorial out there so that I can get this thing working?
It feels like I'm missing something obvious maybe?

Have you downloaded the Mach 3 manual from the newfangled solutions website? All is explained there.

Wow, that's a read and a half!
100+ pages duly printed. Cup of tea being installed before i sit and read it.....

I can’t find anything specific, but late in chapter 5 of the manual the diagnostics screen shows no activity on any outputs.
Does anyone else use this setup successfully?
Maybe a list of the pins & ports page’s settings of a known good install would get me started I think?
Can anyone help or advise?
Regards
Steve
