Hello,
I am having a problem bringing a rotary from from V carve pro into mach 4. The tool path looks fine in V Carve. When it comes into Mach 4 it is not correct. It is stocky and has a pentagon like tool path in it. Not sure if the is a mach4 setting I have wrong or something in V carve post processor. Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Todd

I don't do rotary but is it just a visual or does it actually cut like that?

Hi Bill,
I have not had a chance to run it with wood. However after looking over the g code I believe it may run OK. I think it may just be a display problem.
But looking at the tool path tab it has Min Z of -3.0155. my stock is a 3 inch cyder. But searching the G code I do not find any Z less than Z-1.0
I am thinking it might be a bug in the software.
Regards,
Todd

Make sure you have "Display A Axis Rotation" set to "Rotate around X" in the Toolpath tab of the control configuration.

I have it to rotate around Y because i am wrapping my X axis around the Y axis. I upgraded to V carve pro 11.5 and did not bring my post processors in from version 10.5 hopping it was a post processor problem, but no luck. I am attaching some better pictures. After I post from V carve and bring it into Mach 4 the Z axis in the picture in Mach 4 is inverted. Like mirror image. Is this a bug in Mach 4. Should I upgrade my Mach 4 :-\.
thanks for any help.
