Title: Better card for mach 3 turn
Post by: erdem55 on February 21, 2023, 01:19:01 PM
Hi guys,
I am  new in here.I have used cnc lathe for  two months. My card is rnr motion (cheap red card).
I have a problem which is reading index signal  on same  time.Firstly  five pulse then  is true , but 6 ,7 .. signal are not equal time .Shortly, I do not see index clour changing on mach 3 screen.
Which am I use mach 3 card for mach3 turn?
I want to threading
 nice days

Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking.  I use the UC100 card for my lathe with Mach3 if you want a recommendation.

If you are asking what might be wrong with what you have, from the description it may be that the debounce time is wrong.  What sort of spindle sensor do you have?  What is the debounce tine set to?

I am sorry that I can not tell it which ıI do not know uc100
really do you use threanding on mach3
my debounce time 50 , index debounce 10
my sensor is njk 5002c
I want to use spindle 150 rpm for threading

Hi, I did ne system with old lpt port , BUT  I have same problem.
Mach3 system too slow rpm reads index pulse like 30 rpm.
what is my problem?

The sensor photo you showed is a hall effect device.  You must have attached a magnet to the spindle for it to pick up - a photo of that would help.

Your spindle debounce is 1 x 40 us but the other debounce is set to 50  x 40 us which is 2 seconds!  Seems a bit long to me.

You are right that so long time debounce time
I turned it that is 5 or 200us
I do not use encoder ,what if do it create a problem ?
At the moment, index signal mix usb port like mouse that is not right

The index signal from that Hall sensor needs to be connected into the index input on the interface card and provide one pulse per revolution of the spindle.  To generate that pulse you need a small magnet on the spindle and the sensor needs to be mounted quite close to it (probably a mm or so) to pick it up.  Unless you provide the index pulse you will not be able to either indicate spindle rpm or do threading.  So what is your sensor picking up?

I do not have nice english, I  can not tell you.Sorry
My sensor is hall affect sensor, on per revolution  sensor led is  on .And I controlled sensor that is true on osilicop
nevertheless, mach3 do not see pulses.
I tried low speed  like 60rpm on that time index regularly is true working(screen index green or brown)
And mach3 software do not press spindle speed  on screen

You need also to click the "Spindle" button on the manual or auto screens to tell Mach that it should be displaying speed.

Hi, I did your said .Yees, I saw spindle speed, thanks
I want to threading on material.I used g76  g code with mach3 threading wizard
, but g76 is not working. Then I who enter in macro 1076 change  false to true .Nevertheless, it did not working
