Title: Need Help with Smoothstepper Configuration

Have a Smoothstepper  ESS that runs fine on an old Win10en laptop running Mach 3. Trying to upgrade to Mach4 on a win11 laptop. Red & Blue lights are lit on the SS. I downloaded the recommended plugins and pasted them into the plugin folder. I chose the easy SS configuration. After the configuration the SS does not show up in the plugin list or the configure plugin page. I may have screwed up when asked what the SS was connected to. I chose Smoothstepper instead of local network. If this is the problem I'm not sure how to change it. Help is appreciated.

Hi,
I would suggest posting on the Warp9TD forum about ESS setups ona new installation.

I had a bit of a battle eight years ago when I set up my ESS with Mach4.....but after eight years I've forgotten all the steps I took.
The basic problem was that I had not taken the correct procedure that allowed Mach4Hobby to operate through the Firewall and AntiVirus software,
although that was not plain to me at the time.
