Title: Getting Started
Post by: Bourbonator on April 07, 2022, 07:32:40 PM
Howdy, folks!

After some six months of twaddling around, I'm nearly ready to take the plunge and start modifying a few parts for fixturing.  Can one of you please help me understand how to manually control the machine to do some simple cutting in jog mode?  Specifically, I can't see how to turn on the spindle short of an M3 command, and I'm not even sure where to enter that.

Backgrounder: I'm currently running a TAIG/MicroProto 3000DSLS machine now, having previoiusly owned a MaxNC 15CL many years ago.  So while I'm not a complete noob to CNC, suffice to say I'm rusty as hell and the software here is quite different than what I used those many years ago.  The manual received with the machine is silent on this, so I figure for sure someone here can lend a hand.

Thanks in advance!

In the MDI page, type in the M03 with an S speed command. Hit enter and then type a G01 with X and or Y information with an F feed rate after setting the Z depth
