Title: Mach 4 XBOX360 controller plugin that doesn't require writing a LUA script ?
Post by: pmageau on May 17, 2021, 09:19:28 AM
Hey!

Is there a Mach4 plugin or product that *doesn't* require writing a LUA script ? It's fine if the plugin uses LUA and the user is free to edit later but it would be good if it also gives a default configuration to start with.

Anything ?

Many of the Plugins and standard products don't require a custom LUA script.
The scripting happens when you want something different or special.
The options and what people want are just too varied.

Thanks Bill!  I found that the xbox controller plugin doesn't need Lua coding for basic configuration. For some reason, when I tried to configure the controller before it popped up a Windows game Controller config. Then when I looked around for info, I saw people writing LUA code to get basic capability. I can code but I didn't want to have to :)

I've activated the Mach4 XBox360-Plugin.

Then I've tried to jog the the Xbox and nothing happend at the motors.

diagnostics looks like in the Pic:

the end of the String is "no Command". have the buttons not yet been assigned?

thanks in advance
David

No, there are no defaults.  Configure->Plugins->Xbox Controller
Not Configure->Control plugins tab
