Title: setting spindle speed feedback (mach4 + interface xhcmk6 m4 usb motion card)
Post by: fabio1975 on April 29, 2021, 01:13:22 PM
good evening
I am trying to synchronize the feeds with the spindle revolutions of the lathe (I use mach4 and the XHC MK6 M4 USB MOTION CARD interface).
someone can tell me where to connect the spindle encoder on the interface and how to set mach4?
thank you

If it is a 3 channel rotary encoder then I am not sure that board can do that, I think its single pulse input as there is no encoder A,B,Z channel input marked on the case.

The XHC MACH4 plugin may leave you chasing ghosts, let me know how it goes if you would :)

You're the first person I've ever heard of who uses that board. I don't think you can use the Mach4GUI, the plugin does not allow for it,
you are constrained to wxMach. Good luck.
