				Hello all
I am new with this topic. I am going to build a small CNC using servomotors (X-Y axis with 0.75kW motors ans Z a 1.3kW motor). When I was at University I used mach3 for a project but with steppers, I want to know if I can use mach 3 for the servomotors, also if you know some controller board to use with servo because in my search only appearce boards for steppers.
Hope you can help me.
Regards

vital Systems or CSLab offer Motion Controller for servos (+-10V and Encoder  Feedback) or also EtherCat.
but nearly all servo Controllers can also run in step/dir mode (open Loop).

so, I can use any type of controller board as long as mach 3 support it, isn't it?
Thank you

exactly, as Long there is a plugin for Mach3 is avaliable you can use it, but pls. do not use those cheap chinese Controllers,
they have more or less Problems.

Thank you, I really appreciate your answer. I will check the information above and choose one of them. Do you have some commentos or used one of them?? or another one??

				Hi,
I have used an Ethernet SmoothStepper (Warp9TD) for six plus years, been great. It is a step/direction controller
so it WILL NOT support analog servos but WILL support any step/direction motor drive from steppers through servos.
I have bought three 750W B2 series Delta servos for my new build mill, and I  run them up to 5000rpm with 1um (linear)
resolution which requires a Step signal rate of 416.7kHz, and the ESS does that easy.
US made, and has a manufacturers sponsored forum for support, has both Mach3 and Mach4 plugins.

i run ac servos and clearpath servos. Everything from $400 machmotion breakout boards to $10 chinese boards. If it will run steppers, it will run servos.
