What is the Easiest way to back up the config and restore to new a system, so it works the same as the old system?
Thank you for any help, it doesn't seem to work or even line up on my new system, I do still have access to the old one if needed.
Thanks again,
Rick

In case of Mach3, Copy your working .xml file to c:/Mach3 folder and all sub folders under c:/Mach3

In case of Mach3, Copy your working .xml file to c:/Mach3 folder and all sub folders under c:/Mach3
Can you clarify this please, am I supposed to copy all inside the c:/Mach3 folder on the working system, to the new system c:/Mach3 folder?
I am confused as to the wording of your answer

1. Install Mach3 on new computer.
2. Copy from old system c:\Mach3\[whateveristhenameofyourprofile].xml to new system (if you are using mill/router it should be Mach3Mill.xml)
3. Copy all .set files from old systems C:\Mach3 to new system C:\Mach3
4. Copy ALL folders under C:\Mach3 folder on old system to the C:\Mach3\ on new system
That way all of your specific data will be transferred to new system: Screen sets, Macros, ...

Thank you

I copy the whole mach3 folder. This way you back up xml, programs, macros, brains etc. To install on new pc, install mach3, delete all contents of mach3 folder and paste in backup contents.

Thanks for this info. I just had an old Windows XP computer crash and was able to retrieve the Mach3 file and copy it to my new PC. Only took a few minutes to get back to cutting.
