Title: MACH 3 NVUM USB Z axis probe problem

I am at a loss, Im using the demo version of Mach 3 and the setup of the workbee has been great fun.
I have been experimenting with Z axis zeroing and I can't work out why the Z axis retracts so far. I commented out the lines of VB for the movement of the Z axis after the DRO is set but it moves anyway. I've attached my XML file. Can anyone please help?
