Title: designing problem
Post by: thewillow on November 10, 2020, 08:05:14 PM
Hi All, I've been using the newer version of mach3 (0.18) and I'm looking for a better way of coming up with a foil design. When I'm cutting the foil, I have a problem near the tip of the fin which looks like a design fault (mine). I've tried sweeping instead of lofting but can't quite get the program to respond without a message error. Wondering if anyone has a simpler way of sweeping reliably.

Perhaps you could post a picture of the issue, (Please see this thread; https://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?topic=24585.0) and also post your problem Gcode file.

Thanks Tweakie, I did try to post the .FCStd file but was not able. Hopefully I'll get it right this time. Each time I change the file to .txt, it changes back, currently running windows10. Posted a picture instead.

The Allowed file types are: brn, doc, dwg, dxf, exe, fla, gif, grab, igs, ini, job, jpg, Lcam, lset, lua, M1s, m3p, m4prof, mcc, mcs, mpg, msi, nc, ods, pcm, pdf, pmc, PNG, png, pst, rar, set, shp, swf, tap, tif, txt, vbs, xls, xml, zip.

You could perhaps use an online converter to change your fcstd files to .dxf.
