Is there a way to generate a full depth finish pass for an offset?
-
Sure, the easiest way is just to change the cutter diameter to a smaller one in the software but not in the router... and do an offset. That will make LazyCAM will think it is offsets less than the cutter is actually cutting. Another simple way is put a cutter in the router that is slightly larger than the size used to do the original offset. For example, I'll do roughing with a .050" cutter, but change the bit to a .0512" cutter for the final pass. Yet another way is through the cutter compensation built into Mach3. You can let Mach3 do the work for you but you have to tell it if the cut should be compensated for a left or right tool path direction. The most difficult way would be to edit G-code and put in cutter offset compensation...

Create a "Finish" tool with a Max Cut p/pass: at your final depth.
