Title: MoBo Issue "cap resistor"
Post by: Cruiser on April 05, 2006, 08:55:06 AM
Hey, I have read in here where at least a couple of people had computer issues. I have been considering an upgrade so i did some reading around and found this !

Might check it out, this is a likely culprit with some of the issues and a good visual can locate the problems if they exist ! I've been pondering the new dual processor mobo or dual chip proc but now i think i'll wait and read a bit more.

That link was posted 4 years ago. I read somewhere that a lot of manufacturers were supplied with defective caps, but that was a long time ago. I wouldn't expect to see that today.

As for new systems, I just built a new PC using a MSI Neo4 Platinum motherboard and Athlon X2 4400 dual core, with 2 Gigs of RAM, and a geforce 7800GTand a Raptor hard drive. It's awesome. Xp boots in 10-15 seconds.

::) Well, ya know, ya could be right there. I didn't think of looking at the date ! I'm thouroghly ashamed at myself ! As for your system you just built, it sounds awsum and falls into what i been looking at. i saw one twin proc board i liked and looked for the proc at amd but it doesn't seem to exist ! then again i might not be too bad off with a twin chip, i had been looking them over too. I think i'll copy your formula and see what it shows at outpost or tiger. oh yea, i'd still be looking for those caps, i'd bet they didn't just throw them away ! i read about it back then too !

I bought the Motherboard/Ram/Cpu combo at www.monarchcomputer.com Assembled and tested at a very good price, and quick shipping too.
