New install. I have the unit set in mach3 for inches. Created a file in Aspire 10. Uploaded the file into Mach3 on Vista machine with windows 7 upgrade. All looked good so I hit run. Code runs, I get movement but its very, very small movement. I have a setting wrong someplace... post processor is Mach3 2/3 arcs Inch ( not sure if that is the correct one to use) --- ideas, suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Try running the Axis Calibration routine (Settings page) to check that you have your Steps per Unit set correctly for each axis. It is simple to use, just follow the on-screen instructions.
Tweakie.

I redid this morning. Came back with same settings as before. :(
X & Y
steps- 400
Velocity 3000
Acceleration 425
Material size on file shows as X=10.0 Y=10.0 Z=0.99
Actual cut size is about 3/4 inch square...... 10 inch is about 254 mm so its not just switching to mm somehow
I can manually run table entire width and length. Tried multiple files all run tiny. Machine is set to Inch. Aspire is set to Inch. Files show to be Inch.
Thanks for any help, ideas or things to try

It looks that your Mach3 is set to millimeters. If you are happy with speed/acceleration, set Mach3 to Inches and in motor tuning multiply Steps per, Velocity and Acceleration FOR EACH AXIS by 25.4 so, for X and Y:
Steps: 10160
Velocity: 118
Acceleration: 16

Thanks guys. I'm going to reinstall mach3 and see if it makes it better. I'll let you know how it goes next weekend.
