Title: Auto Tool Zero Problem
Post by: Bob843 on February 08, 2020, 05:13:38 PM
I'm not sure I'm posting this in the rite discussion forum, i have an two sided problem that I'm hoping i could get some help or input with. The auto tool zero works intermittently, i just set it up but what baffles me is when i go over to the diagnostics tab the digitize light is lit (green) along with M2++limit,M2--Limit and M2 Home in yellow. Any comments or hints would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to check your ports and pins settings for duplicated input numbers.

Ok, so we need some pictures of your breakout board and the settings pages in mach to work out what is going on.

You have your homing and limits on Pins 10,11 & 12 so they can not be used for a tool setter so that leaves 13 & 15 one should be estop and what is the other

I now see you have no estop, that is not good.

So set the probe into pin 15 and change the ports and pins probe input to 15 and as long as you have nothing else on pin 15 it should work

I know not having the estop was a bad idea, the tool setting and estop are what im working on i ordered the estop switch online waiting for it to come in.

Ok, so estop will be going into pin 13, so your probe has to go in 15, if 15 is used for something else then you have to start linking all your home switches and limit switches into a single daisy chained input to free up one of the input pins.
