Check out the new video discussing "brains"
http://www.artsoftcontrols.com/Videos/Mach3%20Video%20Selections/Mach3%20Video%20Selections.html
You have got to agree this opens up a heap on new scope for machine automation.

This is a very exciting development, will have to start messing with it to see how easy it is and if I can manage then everyone else will ;)

Its what many people have been wanting for a long time. It now means Mach is a machine controller and not just a CNC controller.
My mind is buzzing with uses for it.
In theory you could design a machine that makes pizzas, from the dough, to all the toppings, the cooking, cutting, etc. All controlled by Mach on one computer.
Personally I think this is the biggest addition to Mach in years. First Art won a big piece of the CNC market, and gave CNC to the masses, now he has also given total machine control to the masses too.

Very, very useful. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. ;)

Old fart? more like prehistoric fart if his Skype profile is to be believed :)
I have a macropump written (thanks to Brians help) for a spindle watchdog for my Lathe, it works great as long as ModBUS isnt enabled but the bad part is I need ModBUS for my spindle control LOL I am thinking the Brain will do away with my need for the macropump, only one problem now is I have to try and find my own brain so I can write the new one for mach :D

I am not able to find the brain video on the page indicated; the last item in the list is the Quantum video, even after refreshing several times - what am I doing wrong or dont I have the brains to see brains?
-
Did you click on the above link in my original post here?
Yes I know its not in the main menu. These are the rabit warrens that Art likes to make for some reason.
I should do a spring clean for him some time soon.

Hi Benny
Yes, that was the link I followed but could not find any reference to the brains video - is it possibly under another name?
-
Heres a screenshot showing them.

I dont see the same view, I cabnt seem to be able to do a screen shot but the list I see around where the brains video should be is as follows:
.
.
Analog
G-Rex info
Screens General
Screen 4
J Code
Macro pump - Intro
.
.
etc
etc
-
This is what I see...

could be a cache problem with your browser.
It woks fine on my computer. I see that same as hood.
Press F5 on your keyboard.
Thats all I can think to suggest. I guess deleting all files from the browsers cache might also work.
-
No luck - tried refresh, F5, cleared the cache etc - still the same result. Is there any Brains documentation anywhere that can possibly be downloaded?
-
Hello,
I was just wondering if it's possible to download these videos?
-
Just a bit of info. I have been messing with the brains the last few days and have been getting all sorts of errors when I tried to load one specific brain. Have just found the problem, I named it Spindle Fail.brn seems like you cant have a space between the letters in the name, SpindleFail.brn works fine :)

1st you'll need a viewer to watch them. Might I recommend Flash Movie Player http://www.download.com/Flash-Movie-Player/3000-2139_4-10625537.html?tag=lst-6
