Here are the 2 posts I use with AlphaCAM.
One is metric and one is inches, they are 3 axis only.
Unpack them from the Zip file and drop them into the C:\LICOMDAT\MPOSTS.ALP directory
Graham.

Do you happen to have a post for AlphaCAM Advanced Router? Thanks
-
I would think the mill post would do the job, have you tried it?
Graham.
-
I did. I placed it in the MPOSTS.ALP directory and tried the RPOSTS.ALP (where my other posts are) and neither place would allow me to select it as a post when I was outputting my program. Is there some kind of install to do?
-
what version of AlphaCAM are you using?
Graham.
-
2003 Advanced Router.
-
Attach me a router post that is on your system now, any will do, a Fanuc 6 or 11 is the best type.
Graham.
-
Here is the post we use with our other router (Anderson Exxact Plus)
-
Try these,
Graham.

I think that is going to work. Thanks a bunch!

Hello, how about new Alphacam 2013 post processor for Mach3 ? Anybody tried ?
-
Hi Graham my name is Henry. I've read your post and downloaded the post for alphacamm, the problem I'm having is that the code stops running when it gets to a radius, of any size, then I have to reset and run for it to continue only for it to stop on the next bit of code with a radius(or beginning of diameter). Is there a way around this problem. I would appreciate help with this issue as I am about to purchase a complete retrofit kit but I need to know whether this could be resolved. cheers

Hi Henry,
post the code you are trying to run and attach the AlphaCAM file so I can see where your problem originates.

Hi Graham, Ive sent the code for a square pocket with radii in the corners. Thanks for the quick response.
-
Hi Graham, Henry again. My apologies, I did not mention that this was a demo version that I was using and maybe that is why its not working
-
Please post the Alphacam file you used to produce the code
-
Hi Graham here is the code from Alpacam
-
Hi Graham, this is code from Alpha edit

Hello dear friends,
I am just new here. your forum is very good and useful.
I have a problem with Mach 3 & AlphaCAM 2013. I hope you could help me. I have downloaded your Mach 3 post processor but unfortunately my Milling Machine does not support it. I have a 2.5 axis CNC milling and I use ArtCAM for my modeling and G-Coding. In ArtCAM I use Mach 2 mm.cnc post processor. But I can find anything like this for AlphaCAM. Can you help me?
-
Hello,
Your machine or software supplier is actually the one to ask help for your specific Post Processor to be compatible with Mach 3.

Hi Graham, Henry here. I've finally received my MachMotion kit for my router. Is there a possibility that you can have another look at the code which I sent to you as I still have the problem of the code slowing right down when it gets to radii of any size. The rest of the code runs smoothly.Cheers.

Hi Graham, I'm new to the forum and just saw this post, I have tried the alpha router post for cabinet vision, seems like it would work but it ask me for a code/password which is 4 digits, any ideas? any help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance

Hi Henry,
there is nothing in the g-code telling Mach to slow in the corners so it could be a CV setting that is causing this.
-
Mancuza,
my advice would be stay well away from Alphacam now a days!
