Hello,
I created a screen, which is working so far, so I'm quite content.
But what looks nice in theorie isn't nice at all in practice, especially with kids playing around.
I don't wan't the machine to move by a single click.
From professional controls I know the principle of the dead man switch - you have to press multiple keys for one step to happen.
I would like to do something similar with mach3 too. I have enuf digital inputs for the switches ...
But: the jog-keys/-buttons don't respect the jog-mode - with jog-mode disabled, axis stil move on buttons like "push to jog x++".
How can I change the buttons to respect the jog-mode and check two simultanious pressed keys additionally?
Is it possible, to simulate this with keyboard-keys too?

'CNC machinery' and 'kids playing around' are simply not compatible.
Exclude the kids COMPLETELY while the machine has power.
Apart from anything else, you could even be legally liable.
Cheers

Use a keyboard and mouse which you can place where they cannot be accessed, it's not a very difficult thing to do.

Hi,
letting children play with active CNC equipment is the stuff of nightmares....making the machine inert in a manner that they can't
overcome is necessary if you believe it possible that they might try.
While a child, say eight years or less maybe at risk I wouldn't mind betting older 'kids' would take to CNC no trouble, in fact the reason
for keeping them off the machine is to stop them making me look bad!
Save your safety procedures for yourself, if you think some idea will prevent YOU from getting hurt, go for it. Any other bugger playing
with my machine will be shot by me. Survivors will be shot again.
