machdrives.com (http://"https://www.machdrives.com") announces the release of the new BRB series servo drive. This is our second new servo drive model for 2017, and is a low cost open frame design.
Rated at 20-80VDC input and 20A output, it is ideal for CNC mills, routers, lathes and plasma cutters. List price is AUD $149

While there are several other similar offerings in the market, the Machdrives BRB servo has some important differentiating features..
- Lower heat generation. The combination of a switching regulator, power saving mode and an efficient MOSFET bridge means the drive can be screwed directly to the control cabinet wall in many applications, without requiring an additional heatsink.
- More accurate tracking. Extending the traditional PID control with velocity feedforward, acceleration feedforward and stiction compensation eliminates tracking errors normally present on starting and acceleration.
- Easier setup and tuning. Connection with a standard USB cable to the free Tuna for Windows application means easy setup without an oscilloscope. The 14 LED indicators show all signal and I/O pin status to streamline commissioning and troubleshooting.
