Hi,
  does anyone have an Idea which is best on a standalone cnc machine,
XP pro or home?

Either will work as well with Mach3.
Just make sure you have as few background resources running as possible when running Mach.

Hi,
  thats just it,with pro there's all sorts of network stuff and svchost going on in the back ground
but im not sure what to swich off.Ive looked at the optimisation document but when I utalise all of them I cant do defrags,load programs and allsorts. is there a way of disconecting all resorces involved with networking in
pro.
