I need help to wire up my db25 bob to work with mach3. Heres what i have so far, output pins 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 are x,a,y,z step and direction. that leaves me pins 1,14,16,17 available. input pins 12,13 are thc +,- that leaves pins 10,11,15 open on the inputs. now heres my problem i still have arc okay, x,a,y and z home to wire in but only have pins 10,11,15 open on my bob. can i use output pins for home switches and configure them in mach? thank you for your advice.

Mach3 will handle all the home switches on one input pin. Wired NC in series
Provided you do not use slaved axis homing. You would then need A on a separate pin.
Don't forget that you will need ArcOK input. Also if using a floating head then you will need probe input.
THC+
THC-
ArcOK
Probe
Home switches.
You should get away with that

With plasma and a stepper machine you really do not need HOME or limits to do 99% of all your work.
You base all your work from Work Zero and you set that by hand every time you setup a new cutfile.
Do all your Cad/Cam work with 0,0 being lower left and you can't really mess up.
Just a thought, (;-) TP
