Title: Probing with Pokeys57E
Post by: humaniac on October 30, 2015, 06:23:52 AM
Hi,

i think i've tried everthing, but i can't get probing work with my Pokeys 57E.
The latest pluging and sofware is installed, but probing with the command
"G31 z-20 F200" always fails with the following error message in Mach3: "probe error - overrun"

I'm running out of ideas what to try to fix the problem. >:(
Any suggestions for a proper setup?

While running my machine with the parallel port, the G31 command worked fine but I don't want to change back to it.

Greets
Phil

Hi, Phil

We are currently checking what is wrong with the probing and will release the fix as soon as we find the cause.

Thanks for the reply!
So this means there's really a problem with the Mach3 plugin?

Nobody else had trouble with the G31 command?
Does anybody have a Pokeys running the G31 command correctly?

Phil

... i forgot to mention that i use the Pokeys 57E with a PoExtBusOC16CNC extension board.

Don't know, if it's important for solving the problem?

@NeoTO:
Any news about error hunting?

Phil

We were quite busy working on a side project and had limited time available to work on the test machines.
It took us a while to find this bug, but the solution is now available. The bug was found in rogue memory alignment of the data structure that PoKeys plugin is using to interface the device.

The update 3.1.66 is now available with the updated firmware and plugin.
