Title: DS26C31 Power Malfunction Error
Post by: polycut on August 19, 2015, 10:51:13 AM
The first time I plugged my PC loaded with Mach3 into my CSMIO IP/A controller, and then pressed the RESET screen button, I get the DS26C31 Power Malfunction Error box appear

Anyone know wht this means and how I fix it?

I have tried it with another PC and it gave the same problem.

The Ethernet connection is working as I can Ping the controller from the PC. And the firmware download was fine too.

It is just the Mach3 interface that appears to having a problem.

Many thanks
Mark

Hi Mark

I had a similar problem recently with my CSMIO/A which suspect was caused by the 24V input voltage. My machine (Morbidelli Author 504) used a three phase half wave rectifier to produce "24V", ie it wasn't regulated, so would peak to well over 24V, possibly to close to the 30V max.

I wound up sending the controller back to CS-Labs in Poland for repair, which they turned around quickly and at no cost. Meanwhile I installed a 24V DC switchmode supply in the machine to provide true regulated 24V DC.

When the controller came back it worked first time.

Hope that helps.

Andrew
