Someone can help me to activate touch probe with uc 100 usb parallel controller?
-
Hi alza,
have you got it setup to work with mach3?
-
Yes but is impossible to configure it, auto tool setting probe don't recognize lpt port one. What i can do?
-
auto tool setting probe
do you mean the auto tool zero in mach3?
-
Ok not enough info on my part. have you loaded a zeroing script in the auto tool button? What pin do yo have your probe set ? what sort of breakout board do you have?
-
Is impossible to add! Because is not figured as lpt as needed. In diagnostic, pin ports are not visible but only in uc100 panel (15 imp.). I've a cnc 3020 last type with black box controller.
-
OK. sorry for your frustration. your best bet might to contact the manufacturer and see what they say.
-
They have already responded and said they did not know how to go about Mach 3 ! hahaha They sell them and do not know anything , crazy stuff .
-
OK the UC100 is a straight USB controller (nothing to do with the LPT port). You should have pins on the UC100 that you hook the probe to. The UC100 then translates those pins back to Mach3. You would then need to set the pins in Mach3 that MATCH what the UC100 expects for the probe.
IF the UC100 even supports a probe. The info SHOULD be in the UC100 setup manual.
Just a thought, (;-) TP

IF the UC100 even supports a probe.
It does.
-
I already tried does not work, read the top messages.
-
I have probes on pin 15 on two machines and they work fine.
Check your wiring and whatever script you're using for the probe.
If the probe activates pin 15 LED on the UC100 plugin then it's your script. If it doesn't activate it then it's your probe, the UC100 or your wiring.

I must write a script? For this? I don't understand!
-
Something has to tell the machine what to do. I'm no expert as I use Calypso screen sets and the buttons for probing are all pre scripted. G31 is a probing code. Do some searching on that.
