Has anyone tried/used the above software? I tried the demo and for a lathe it seems brilliant! I produced the shape in the pic in about 30 seconds flat. Why other lathe oriented programs don't use this simple approach is beyond me!?!?!?!?
It also has a 3D model mode for showing the item in 3D - but quite honestly it's not needed.
The only problem with the demo mode is that it produces ZERO code so you can't determine whether it is ok or not for your purpose.
Anyone use it? Got examples?
Don't use but but want to sell license?
thanks

Didn't know it existed.
Had a look at the Denford site info on Quickturn 2D and looks interesting based on the video's.
Base price ~ from $330 ..... more for the VR????? turn package?
VR Turning is their Software Controller.
Looks interesting, but one never knows until they use it. Maybe I'll try out the demo when time allows.

It is really good - you can easily add chamfers/arcs atc and once built you can change lines from arc to straight etc at the touch of a button. If this sort of front end was added to Lazyturn it would be a best seller.

So I tried out the demo and it's rather restrictive such that one can only draw something and other options like importing
a dxf is not available, can't see what pp's are available, and i guess if one really wanted to test it out they need to purchase.
Maybe there is another download available, one would think that they would provide a limited use to review it for a short time frame
or test it out.
To be fair, maybe, maybe.......I'll contact them to see if there is a trial version available.
I personaly won't buy software unless i can test it out.
That said, been there/done that/ wasted my time/ so it sucks for now and won't waste my time on it!

Exactly - didn't know it existed and that is the trial version! A trial version where you cannot actually trial anything! Brilliant eh?
It's just the initial interface I like - perfect for turning, but then you can't see anything else work.
Shame really - it makes you wonder how they sell anything at all with trial versions like that.

I guess the worst bit is that the Denford data website that has a dedicated section for the QT software doesn't even respond to questions.
Perhaps I've answered my own question about buying the software - pity really.

posting your questions on the denford forum would give you better results.
