G’day Folks
I’m part way through retrofitting a 1989 SCM router with Camsoft, now I’m thinking I should attempt using Mach3
I’ve got Mach3 recognising the Galil 18420 but that’s all so far.
What I haven’t discovered from the forums is how to get Adlink PCI-7296 I/O card into the picture.
Some posts indicate this is not possible.
Is anyone able to point me in the right direction for further information?
Any help much appreciated.

There is no plugin for the ADLink cards as far as I know. I wrote one for the Contec cards, which CamSoft seemed to have used at one time.

Thanks Steve
I saw you post the same info in another thread.
So I would definietly need a plugin?
I don't have the capacity to write a plugin, I've got a problem, any suggestions?
I have 4 Opto22 G4PB24 relay cards only using two of them 1 with 21 inputs the other 23 outputs.
I haven't used any of the 8 inputs or 8 outputs on the Galil 18420.
Any suggestions on a way through?
Much appreciate your post.

The Contec cards were hooked to the Opto 22 stuff. Maybe purchasing a Contec card it the easiest way. Otherwise, you will have to find someone to write a plugin for the ADLink cards. I would, but I just don't have the time right now as I'm busy busy busy with Mach 4 at the moment. If you get a Contec card, make sure that it is supported by the plugin. (I think it is in the docs).

G'day Steve,
Been having a catch-up on the forums after a fair bit of time.
Sounds like you fellas are getting somewhere with Mach4, which is great.
I figured this might be the quickest way to find out if Mach4 will improve my chances of using Adlink PCI-7296 for extended I/O with the Galil 1842.
Had a search for both cards from what I read all should be good with Galil1842.
Couldn't find anything regarding Adlink I/O
Thanks for your help - love ya work
Happy New Year
