Title: N code?
Post by: crazycajun on March 18, 2013, 11:18:29 PM
Has anyone seen their g codes with N at the beginning of each line?  Running deskproto and the codes are a little weird when loading to Mach..the display doesn't even show the item being cut

Helpless jeweler ???

N is used to tell you it is a line number.  You can load code into Mach and double left click the g code display to add line numbers.  Double click again to remove them.  Most post processors can also be set to add line numbers to your code.  Helps to trouble shoot when you can say at line number **** it mess's up.

TP told me he believes that the " : " charactor is invalid in MAch3 G code as in

N1200:   G0 X0 Y0 Z0 so disregard my comment earlier in this topic.  I will edit it so hopefully it wont mess anyone else up.

Thanks TP!
