Title: TOOLDESC Label on Mach3 R3.043.066 (Mill screen)
Post by: MEA on November 19, 2012, 02:35:47 PM
I updated to the .066 version and now the TOOLDESC label shows always "Empty". I found in the changelog some information about the label change. I checked with the new DRO245 the offset. It shows the right one. The DRO 246 shows always the right tool but offset 00.
What is the current situation with the label?

Try Ver .067. It works here.

I just installed version .067, but I got the same behavior. I did some more tests.
If I switch Mach to Lathe, with OEM buttton 131, the TOOLDESC label and the DRO 246 works correct. Tool selection with DRO 824.
If I switch back to Mill, the TOOLDESC label keeps the last description selected during Lathe mode. Tool selection with DRO 824
If I start Mach (Mill function) tool 0 is selected and so i see the "Empty" description.
Is here maybe a bug?

Thanks for checking.
Daniel

IS this a customized screen set or the Standard 1024 screenset. ON what page are you refererring to for the tooldesc label.

Have your M6 macros changed ?

Just a thought, (;-) TP

Sorry for the delayed answer.
Yes, it is a fully customized screen written with the .022 version.
The M6Start and M6End macros are in all versions identical.
