Title: vectric aspire
Post by: trparker on October 09, 2012, 09:17:28 AM
I may be in the wrong support group...
I am brand new to the CNC I knew nothing...
I had to take the seat of the unlearned!!

I need a software to help me generate codes
I have seen Vectric mentioned often...along with others
Vectric Aspire seems huge is this to much for a new person
to start with??
Should I begin with maybe 2D cut or something easy first???

I suggest you walk before you run.
Vectric has manny good products, but, I think one should buy something based on some experience
and an idea of what they plan on doing with CNC.

BTW, Will you be using Mach?

Right now working mostly in wood...
it certainly will be hobbyist kind of things for now
wanted to make signs, engraving...involving letters, emblems etc...
maybe make some small furniture
do you then know of a good beginners software for these kinds of things?

Download the trial version of Aspire and or V Carve Pro and see if they'll do what you want. Don't buy any software unless you yourself are sure it will work for you.
