Title: solidcam to mach3
Post by: hankwang5864 on September 23, 2012, 07:05:59 AM
HI,
When I  load a Gcode,a strange trace under the stock,(http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/hank0817/_zps3e73182e.jpg)
When I start , the z axis move down and hit the stock  just as the trace show
I use Solidcam to generate the Gcode
Is the setting correct?

You have a lose point in the original drawing. It is only doing what you told it to do. (;-)

Go back to the drawing and delete that point then recam.

OR just find and delete that piece of Gcode in the Gcode file.

Just a thought(;-) TP

I set origin point on the corner of the stock
(http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k546/hank0817/_zps3ed586bd.png)

When I start to mill,I tried to use the single start mode, the z-axis hit the stock when the code run  "G90"

Is the gcode correct or need to delete any line?

Just looking at your code and my machine does not show the dip so to speek G90 is absolute mode . Did you set your G54 up to the right point.
