Title: spindle index code

 Im trying to get my spindle index pulse to work . Im getting this code -1.#IND in spindle calibration screen. please, I need help...

You dont need to do any calibration to get the index pulse to work. All you need is to set the correct port and pin for the index pulse and if using the parallel port you need to enable the spindle relays (ports and pins, spindle setup)
To see the spindle speed you need to tell Mach the spindle has started even if your spindle is not controlled from Mach, so either M3/M4 or press Spindle button.

thanks for reply, i built my own opto sensor circut with opto coupler and 555 timer. but I am just getting random numbers on rpm display.

A 555 timer circuit can provide an index to Mach for testing but is of no value for actual RPM of  a turning spindle.
Maybe I am not understanding what you are doing. ???
