Hi, I'm new here and hoping someone can help me get setup...Here's what I have:
Win7 32 bit with Sunix MIO5469A PCIe parallel port card with sunix driver and Mach3 driver
The driver tests works fine and Mach3 is setup correct but I'm not getting an output at the parallel port. I'm measuring a constant 3.3v on data pins.
I think it may be an addressing issue as the LPT1 port doesn't have a resources tab under properties in device manager where you would normally find the address... The address of that PCI slot didn't work either.
Anyway this little program (http://www.logix4u.net/parallel-port/43-how-to-read-parallel-serial-port-address-from-bios) at the bottom of the page as well as running debug, d40:00 in DOS leads me to believe the correct address is 378 like you would expect.
Parmon shows the right outputs on 378, but it's not reflected in real life
... any idea? TIA

I'm pretty sure now it's just that the PCI card is crap... I bought this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815166007) as recommended in another thread - hoping it will solve my problems. I will let you know if it does

yup the Roswell card works perfectly, and with the default drivers! I think the take-away message from this thread is to stay away from sunix cards
