Title: Steam Engine - Jingle Bell
Post by: rcazwillis on January 03, 2007, 11:42:30 PM
This is a small steam engine I built using my cnc mill.  It runs well and is a pleasure to watch.  I have the .tap files if anyone wants them for their personal use.

Rcazwillis,
How did I miss this one? Will you post the files and any info to help. That is really neat. You don't have a short video of it running do you?

Brett

I would sure appreciate the .tap files.  Nice job on the engine.  Thanks.  Mike

Seems I don't get notices of responses to my original posting.  My apologies for not responding.  To give due credit, I took the original design from http://npmccabe.tripod.com/jinglebellmotor.htm.  The main web page has dozens of designs free for personal use.  I just took their design and put it in CAD.  Then cut it on my CNC.  Attached is a zip file with the .dfx, .job, .part, and .tap files.  Be sure to closely review how the files are setup.  I am an adamant amateur, so there is liable to be pitfalls and strange methods used throughout.   ;D

Enjoy, and let me know how it works out.
