Title: Mach3 with stepper motor drivers of Pololu or similar
Post by: User123 on February 23, 2012, 01:33:33 PM
Hello, if i have understood it rightly Mach 3 generates step and direction signals and sends them to the parallel port, is it thus, for example, possible to use four of the stepper motor drivers A4988 http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1183 (http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1183) as stepper motor output stage for Mach3, respectively, to connect their input contacts directly with the parallel port of the Computer and on the output sides with four stepper motors, or is an upstream arranged controller or similar necessary. Many Greetings
